Saudi Arabia’s energy minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, has announced significant discoveries of seven oil and gas deposits by Saudi Aramco. These discoveries encompass two unconventional oil fields, a light Arabian oil reservoir, two natural gas fields, and two natural gas reservoirs, all located in the Eastern Province and the Empty Quarter.
Among the key finds are the Ladam oil field, which produces 5,100 barrels per day, the Al-Farouk oil field with a production of 4,557 barrels per day, and the Al-Katuf gas field, which yields 7.6 million cubic feet per day. These newly discovered fields are set to significantly boost Saudi Arabia’s energy resources.
The discovery of these deposits underscores Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its energy sector, ensuring a stable and robust supply of oil and gas to meet both domestic and international demands. The expansion of these resources highlights the Kingdom’s strategic approach to maintaining its position as a leading energy producer globally.
