On Thursday, a bomb in Balochistan’s Mastung region injured at least five people, including Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) leader Hafiz Hamdullah.
According to first accounts, the incident occurred near the vehicle of JUI leader Hafiz Hamdullah, who was on his way to Mangocher city. Among those injured are Hamdullah’s assistant and the gunman.
The rescue workers stated that Hafiz Hamdullah’s life was not in danger. The injured people were rushed to the Mir Ghaus Bakhsh Raisani Hospital in Quetta.
The explosion occurred 5 kilometers away from Mastung, and the area has since been blocked off by security forces.
According to reports, the explosive material was planted on the roadside, and the JUI-F commander Hafiz Hamdullah was the intended target.
