Ajit Pawar Among Five Killed as Chartered Plane Crashes During Landing in Maharashtra
A chartered Learjet 45 carrying Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar crashed while attempting to land at Baramati airport on 28 January 2026, killing all five people on board, including Pawar, his security officer, an attendant, and two crew members. The aircraft reportedly lost control during landing after departing from Mumbai for election-related engagements. Emergency teams found no survivors.
