Diesel Price Reduced by Rs8.57 Ahead of New Year
The government has announced a significant reduction in petroleum product prices, lowering the petrol rate by Rs10.28 per liter. According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the decision was made based on recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). The revised prices will take effect from January 1, 2026, and remain valid for the next 15 days.

As per the notification, the new price of petrol has been set at Rs253.17 per liter, down from the previous Rs263.45. Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs8.57 per liter, bringing it to Rs257.08 compared to the earlier Rs265.65.
