Crackdown on AI Spam: YouTube Terminates Screen Culture and KH Studio
YouTube has terminated two high-profile channels for allegedly circulating misleading, AI-generated movie trailers, marking one of the platform’s most decisive moves so far against AI-driven spam.
The affected channels—India-based Screen Culture and US-based KH Studio—together had amassed more than two million subscribers and over one billion views.
As reported by Deadline, the creators combined AI-generated visuals with copyrighted footage to create trailers that appeared authentic, misleading audiences while driving higher engagement. Although YouTube had earlier demonetized both channels, the accounts were ultimately shut down after the removal of disclaimers such as “fan trailer,” which previously clarified the unofficial nature of the content.
