Three FC Personnel Martyred as Security Forces Thwart Suicide Bombing Attempt
Peshawar: A suicide attack attempt on the Frontier Constabulary (FC) Headquarters was foiled as security forces killed three terrorists. However, three FC personnel were martyred during the operation.

Police reported that the explosions occurred near the headquarters’ gate, with the sound heard across distant areas. The blasts shattered windows of nearby buildings. Law enforcement agencies immediately cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
CCPO Peshawar stated that the attack took place at 8:11 AM. One suicide bomber detonated himself at the main gate, while two others attempted to enter the headquarters. FC soldiers engaged them in a gunfight and killed both attackers at the gate. Despite their bravery, three FC personnel lost their lives in the attack.

He added that the headquarters has now been cleared, and CCD officials are collecting evidence. The province was already on high alert due to the security situation.
Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, Zulfiqar Hameed, told ARY News that the suicide attack was successfully thwarted by FC personnel. He confirmed that one bomber blew himself up at the gate, while two others tried to storm the headquarters but were shot dead before entering.
According to the IG, two FC soldiers were martyred and two others injured during the exchange of fire. The injured have been shifted to hospital for medical treatment. He emphasized that strict security measures prevented a major tragedy, as the terrorists could have caused massive destruction had they entered the headquarters.
Clearance operations are still underway, and the road in front of the FC Headquarters has been closed to traffic.
