Mashal Malik Pleads for Yasin Malik’s ICU Treatment, Warns of Regional Instability if Neglected
Mashal Malik, wife of Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, has issued an urgent video appeal, stating that her husband is battling for his life in jail and is being deprived of essential medical facilities. She revealed that Yasin Malik’s old heart valve has become dysfunctional, and he is in immediate need of ICU treatment, which Indian authorities are reportedly denying him.
Mashal Malik further elaborated that the metallic heart valve implanted in 1990 is now completely ineffective. She also voiced concerns about reports of poisoning in his food, suggesting that “everything indicates that if the world remains silent, it will be too late.” She emphasized that this is not merely a struggle for one individual but a “war for humanity and justice,” urging international bodies, human rights advocates, and medical organizations to intervene for Yasin Malik’s immediate medical care.
Warning of dire consequences, Mashal Malik cautioned that if anything were to happen to Yasin Malik, the entire region could be engulfed in instability. She noted that protests and prayers are ongoing in Kashmir, Pakistan, and worldwide, but stressed that “time is short, and immediate action is required.”
