The Sindh Health Department has officially terminated 289 medical officers and doctors
The Sindh Health Department has officially terminated 289 medical officers and doctors who were hired on temporary contracts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a notification issued by the department, these officers were recruited on 89-day contracts to meet urgent healthcare demands during the health crisis. The notification states that their services are no longer required.

The affected medical staff were posted in Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana, Sukkur, and Naushahro Feroze. The department clarified that since these appointments were made without Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) approval, their continuation is no longer necessary.
As per the official order, these doctors and officers have been relieved from their duties effective June 30.
