Atlas Honda Confirms Launch of Electric Scooter in FY 2024–25
Atlas Honda officially announced on Tuesday that it will launch a new electric scooter tailored for the Pakistani market within the current fiscal year. This move aligns with the government’s push towards sustainable mobility solutions under the new National Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy.

Government’s EV Policy Aims for 30% Electric Vehicle Share by 2030
The announcement follows the recent introduction of the National Electric Vehicle Policy, which supports the Prime Minister’s vision for a cleaner, greener Pakistan. Special Assistant to the PM on Industries and Production, Haroon Akhtar Khan, stated that the policy is designed to promote eco-friendly and cost-effective transport while fostering local manufacturing.
EV Adoption to Save $1 Billion Annually in Fuel Imports
The shift to electric mobility is expected to deliver massive economic benefits. Officials estimate that Pakistan could save 2.07 billion litres of fuel each year through EV adoption, equating to around $1 billion in foreign exchange savings.
Atlas Honda Seeks Regulatory Approval Before Scooter Launch
Atlas Honda has confirmed that it is working closely with regulatory authorities to obtain the necessary permissions for the upcoming launch. The company stated in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) that product quality and road testing are underway, with plans to debut the EV scooter later this fiscal year.

Honda’s Previous EV Prototype ‘Benly e’ Tested in 2023
In a preliminary step towards electric mobility, Atlas Honda introduced its ‘Benly e’ electric scooter in 2023 during a soft launch at its Sheikhupura plant. The upcoming release marks the company’s full entry into Pakistan’s EV market.
EV Launch by Industry Giant Expected to Boost Electric Bike Adoption
Industry analysts believe that Atlas Honda’s entry will greatly influence EV adoption, given its dominant position in the two-wheeler segment. With over 26 million motorcycles on Pakistani roads—most contributing to high carbon emissions—the transition to electric vehicles could play a major role in combating air pollution.
