Over 51,000 Earthquakes Reported Globally in a Year, Myanmar’s 7.7 Quake Strongest
In the past 24 hours, 197 earthquakes have been recorded worldwide, with the strongest measuring 6.5 magnitude near Prince Rupert, Canada. The epicenter was located 265 kilometers south of the city at a depth of 33 kilometers. Fortunately, no casualties or property damage have been reported so far.

According to Earthquake Track, a total of 1,183 earthquakes were recorded globally in the past week, 4,421 in the last month, and over 51,887 earthquakes in the past year. The most powerful quake recorded in this period was a 7.7 magnitude earthquake near Sagaing, Myanmar. These figures highlight the importance of preparedness in the face of natural disasters worldwide.
