Lahore Qalandars Clinch Third PSL Title with Thrilling Last-Over Chase Against Quetta Gladiators
Lahore Qalandars lifted their third HBL PSL trophy in four years after a breathtaking last-over victory against Quetta Gladiators at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Chasing a massive 202-run target — the highest ever in a T20 final — Qalandars sealed the win with one ball to spare, powered by Kusal Perera’s match-winning unbeaten 62 off 31 balls. The left-hander, supported by Sikandar Raza’s late fireworks, turned the game around with a rapid 59-run partnership off just 19 deliveries.
Earlier, Quetta Gladiators, despite losing both openers cheaply, posted a formidable 201-9, driven by Hasan Nawaz’s explosive 76 off 43 balls and valuable contributions from Avishka Fernando, Rilee Rossouw, and Faheem Ashraf. Lahore’s bowling attack, led by skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi’s 3-24, kept breakthroughs coming at crucial moments, preventing Gladiators from running away with the game.

Lahore’s chase was off to a fiery start, courtesy of Mohammad Naeem’s quickfire 46, with Perera anchoring the innings and finishing strong in the death overs. The final over drama saw Sikandar Raza hammer a six and a four to seal a famous victory. With this win, Lahore Qalandars joined Islamabad United as the only sides to claim three PSL titles. Perera was named Player of the Final, while Hasan Nawaz and Abrar Ahmed earned Best Batter and Best Bowler of the Tournament awards, respectively.

In a proud moment during the HBL PSL-X closing ceremony, Javed Ahmed, Managing Director and CEO of Jubilee Life Insurance, presented the Wicket-keeper of the Tournament award to Muhammad Haris of Peshawar Zalmi. Since Haris couldn’t attend the ceremony, the award was graciously received on his behalf by teammate Muhammad Akhlaq after the thrilling final between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Haris earned the honor for his outstanding performance behind the stumps and with the bat throughout the season, registering 247 runs and 12 dismissals in 10 matches.
