Five Women Among Ten Pakistanis Arrested for Begging in UAE Operations
United Arab Emirates (UAE) officials have detained ten Pakistani nationals, including five women, on charges of begging, according to official sources. The detainees have been imprisoned, and UAE authorities have formally communicated the arrests to their Pakistani counterparts.

Sources within the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) confirmed that the arrested women include Amina Bibi, Kausar Bibi, and Farzana Bibi from Vehari, along with Jameela Bibi and Zubaida Bibi from Lahore. They were apprehended during multiple operations conducted across various locations in the UAE.
In related raids, Muhammad Zakariya from Dera Ghazi Khan, Waseem Haider from Bahawalnagar, Muhammad Usman from Lahore, Ejaz Khan from Charsadda, and Abdullah from Peshawar were also arrested on similar charges. These individuals have been issued emergency passports for their deportation to Pakistan, which is expected to take place in the coming days.

FIA officials stated that upon their return to Pakistan, all detainees will be taken into custody, and legal proceedings will be initiated against them. The UAE’s crackdown on begging underscores the country’s zero-tolerance policy toward such activities.
