Former Imran Khan’s Wife Shares Lighthearted Account of New Year’s Mishap
Jemima Goldsmith, former wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan, sustained an injury during a hiking trip on Lion’s Head Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa, during her New Year’s vacation. Goldsmith shared details of the incident on Instagram with a touch of humor, captioning a post, “Festive break (pun intended) in Cape Town. Embracing the highs and the lows of 2025 (incredible views from the summit of Lion’s Head with friends and family and then a tumble and an interminable hobble down in the dark). Happy New Year, folks.”

The post described her fall and subsequent difficult descent in the dark, contrasting it with the beautiful views she had enjoyed earlier with her family and friends. Accompanying the post were scenic photographs from her hike, a video of her on a stretcher smiling despite her injury, and images of her later using crutches. Her followers responded with New Year’s wishes and messages of support for a speedy recovery. Lion’s Head, a popular hiking destination known for its panoramic views, stands at 669 meters (2,195 ft) between Table Mountain and Signal Hill.
