
A tragic crash occurred when an Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer E190 aircraft, en route to Grozny, crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan, with 67 people on board. At least 42 people lost their lives, while 25 survived the crash. The flight was diverted due to severe fog and crashed 3 km from Aktau airport during an emergency landing attempt.
