Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML), a joint venture between Master Group of Industries and Changan International, unveiled the Changan Lumin on October 25, 2024, at the Pakistan Auto Show in Lahore. The Lumin, a compact electric hatchback, is built to make electric mobility accessible to Pakistan’s masses, targeting the often-overlooked A-segment market. As MCML’s first mass-market EV, Lumin is designed on Changan’s EPA0 Pure EV platform, powered by a high-quality CATL battery offering a 301 km range per charge, making it an economical and efficient choice for urban and inter-city commutes.

With a chic, compact design, Lumin merges style and technology. The hatchback features a 7-inch digital cluster meter, a 10.25-inch infotainment display compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and multi-function steering. Lumin is also equipped with advanced safety features typically found in premium cars, such as ABS, hill-start assist, automatic emergency braking, and vehicle stability control, adding extra value to this affordable EV. Drivers can switch between Eco and Sports modes for energy-efficient or dynamic performance, catering to various driving preferences.
