“My wife left me today at 8:30 am, leaving me alone and dying
A tragic incident occurred in Fujairah, UAE, where a 37-year-old Indian social media influencer, Shanifa Babu, fell to her death from the 19th floor of her building. The incident took place on the morning of May 25 near St. Mary’s Catholic High School.

Shanifa Babu, originally from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, India, was married to Sanuj Babu, who operates a construction company in Fujairah. The couple has two daughters. On Instagram, Sanuj expressed his profound grief, writing, “My wife left me today at 8:30 am, leaving me alone and dying with my two angels. May her soul rest in peace… Pray for her…”
According to media reports, Shanifa’s body is currently in the hospital mortuary. Meanwhile, her husband is being interrogated by the police as part of the investigation into the incident.
This follows a similar tragic event in October 2023, when a 17-year-old boy died after falling from the 6th floor of his residential building in Ajman, UAE.
