PTI’s Sher Afzal Marwat and Former Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad Discuss Political Reconciliation
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat met with former Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad following Ibad’s announcement to return to politics. During their three-hour meeting, they discussed the country’s political situation, emphasizing the need for political stability, security, and progress. Ibad advocated for politics of reconciliation as a means to address Pakistan’s crises and praised the cooperation between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and federal governments on the SIFC project. He stressed the importance of separating governance issues from political differences and called for meaningful dialogue to reduce tensions. Marwat commended Ibad’s political acumen, and both leaders agreed to maintain future contact.
Dr. Ibad, who has been in Dubai for the past eight years, indicated his intention to return to active politics in Pakistan, sharing plans for his return and discussing the situation in Karachi. He also recently contacted the governors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, congratulating them on their new roles and expressing hope for their contributions to provincial well-being.
