Maari Petroleum Discovers New Reserves of Oil and Gas in Sindh’s Dharki City
Maari Petroleum has announced the discovery of new reserves of oil and gas in Dharki city, located in the Ghotki district of Sindh. According to a statement by Maari Petroleum, the discovery of oil and gas was made in Dharki, and initially, the new discovery is expected to yield 25 million cubic feet of gas and 1040 barrels of crude oil daily.
The discovery of important reserves of oil in Well Shawal-1 of the Maari field is a significant achievement. Work began here on January 27, 2024, and the well was successfully drilled to a depth of 1136 meters. The company’s managing director, Fahim Haider, hailed the discovery of new reserves as a major success for engineers and scientists.
It is worth mentioning that earlier, Maari Petroleum had discovered a gas well in the Gharo formation field, from where it is expected to produce 10 MMCFD of gas daily after drilling to a depth of 1483 meters.
