The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has marked a significant milestone in its exploration ventures with the discovery of gas and condensate reserves at the Kharo-1 well, situated in the Khewari license area of Khairpur, Sindh. Achieving a notable depth of 3,762 meters through advanced drilling and testing operations, the Kharo-1 well demonstrated a promising gas flow rate of 14.3 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD), alongside 93 barrels of condensate per day. These results, achieved at a wellhead flowing pressure of 2,737 psi, highlight the potential of the Lower Goru Formation’s Massive sand strata.
