Uruguayan footballer Juan Izquierdo tragically passed away after collapsing on the pitch during a Copa Libertadores match between his club, Club Nacional, and São Paulo on August 22. The 27-year-old suffered an irregular heartbeat during the 84th minute of the game and was subsequently hospitalized. Despite receiving medical treatment, including being placed on a ventilator, Izquierdo succumbed to his condition days later.
