40 Injured in Nushki Fire Incident as Rescue Efforts Continue

In a tragic incident in Nushki, Balochistan, over 30 people lost their lives following an explosion in an oil-filled truck near a truck stop. The fire initially broke out and later caused the oil tanker to explode, leaving many individuals severely injured.

According to rescue sources, several individuals who sustained burns in the fire were rushed to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Hospital officials stated that critically injured patients would be transferred to Quetta after receiving initial care. The district administration confirmed that over 40 people were injured in the explosion while attempting to control the fire in the oil tanker.

Emergency Declared Following Devastating Oil Tanker Fire in Balochistan

Fire brigade personnel who were close to the scene suffered severe burns, and four police officers assisting in evacuating citizens were also injured. Reports indicate that individuals near the oil tanker sustained burn injuries covering 70–80% of their bodies. Emergency air transport has been arranged to transfer severely injured citizens to Quetta for further treatment.

Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind described the incident as deeply saddening, noting that the intensity of the fire affected even the fire brigade vehicles on the scene. He added that emergency protocols have been implemented in local hospitals, and all efforts are being made to provide medical assistance to the injured. Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
