Punjab Government Issues Notification Establishing Rs32,000 as Minimum Monthly Salary
Lahore: The Punjab government has officially announced a minimum monthly salary of Rs32,000 for workers and laborers, according to a notification released on Wednesday.

The decision to set this minimum wage, which translates to Rs1230.77 for an eight-hour workday, was made under the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The proposal to increase the minimum wage to Rs32,000 was initially presented by the wage board for public input and recommendations in April.
Following thorough consideration, Chief Minister Naqvi approved the proposal during a cabinet meeting on August 26.
