Saudi Arabia Opens First Ever Liquor Store in Diplomatic Quarter of Riyadh
According to reports, Saudi Arabia has opened a liquor store for the first time in the capital’s Diplomatic Quarter. While the Saudi government has not officially confirmed the opening of the liquor store in the capital, diplomats will need to obtain permits through a special app.

The reports indicate that no guests or individuals under the age of 21 will be allowed to enter the store, and there will be restrictions on photography and mobile phone usage. Earlier this year, reports emerged that the Saudi government was preparing to open the country’s first liquor store in Riyadh, specifically for non-Muslim diplomats. Customers will need to register for purchases through a mobile app and obtain a clearance code from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with alcohol provided according to their monthly quotas.
