Punjab Government Allocates Rs. 88.6 Million for Reconstruction of Nursing College and Hostel
The Punjab government has approved a total of Rs. 88.6 million for the reconstruction and repair of the nursing college and hostel at Amir Ud Din Medical College. Of this, Rs. 76 million will be allocated for the nursing hostel, while Rs. 12.6 million will be spent on the nursing college. The announcement was made by Principal Ameer ud Din Medical College, Prof. Al-Fareed Zafar, during his visit to the nursing college, where he met with nursing instructors and students. Principal Nursing College Maimoona Sattar was also present at the event.

Prof. Al-Fareed Zafar highlighted the urgent need for funds to renovate the nursing college and hostel buildings, which were constructed in 1962. The aim is to bring these more than half-century-old structures in line with modern requirements. The renovated buildings will feature state-of-the-art lecture rooms, a library, and other necessary facilities, providing students with the best educational environment.

During his interaction with the students, Prof. Al-Fareed Zafar emphasized the significant role of nursing staff in delivering quality medical services in hospitals. He encouraged students to focus on their professional education and training, noting that nursing is a noble profession that offers training, a stipend, and free hostel accommodation. Upon completion of their four-year degree program, nursing students are eligible for a Grade 16 job. Prof. Al-Fareed Zafar stressed that this profession is dedicated to serving humanity and brings not only the blessings of people in this world but also success in the hereafter.
