Pakistan Responds to Indian Strikes with Operation Bunyanum Marsoos 40 Civilians and 11 Soldiers Martyred
Amid Cross-Border Tensions Pakistan Neutralizes Key Indian Military Targets in Retaliatory Strikes
On May 6 and 7, the Indian Armed Forces launched unprovoked attacks, targeting civilians, places of worship, and infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. According to ISPR, the strikes resulted in the martyrdom of 40 civilians, including 7 women and 15 children, while 121 others were injured, among them 10 women and 27 children. The attacks also claimed the lives of 11 soldiers, who fought valiantly to defend their homeland.

In response, Pakistan Armed Forces executed Operation Bunyanum Marsoos under Marka-e-Haq, delivering precision retaliatory strikes on Indian military assets. Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Air Defense Systems successfully intercepted Indian incursions, ensuring that no enemy aircraft entered Pakistan’s airspace. During the battle, Pakistan’s forces destroyed five Indian fighter jets, including three Rafales, one SU-30, and one MiG-29, along with a Heron Unmanned Aerial System (UAS).
Pakistan’s multi-domain offensive on May 9 and 10 targeted 26 key military sites, including airbases, missile storage facilities, radar stations, and logistics hubs across Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and mainland India. Among the damaged facilities were Suratgarh, Sirsa, Bhuj, Srinagar, Jammu, and Pathankot airbases, along with BrahMos missile storage centers at Beas and Nagrota. S-400 defense batteries at Adampur and Bhuj were also neutralized in the strikes.

The Pakistan Armed Forces reaffirmed their commitment to national defense, stating that any further violation of sovereignty would meet a full-spectrum, decisive response. The nation honored the martyrs, paying tribute to their sacrifice and valor, and vowed to stand united against external aggression.
