Pakistan Ranks 65th in Global Safety Index, India 66th and the USA 89th
Global Safety Index 2025: Andorra Leads, Major Economies Lag Behind
Pakistan has been positioned 65th in the 2025 Global Safety Index, a ranking compiled by Numbeo that evaluates cr_ime levels and provides guidance on safe travel destinations worldwide. Pakistan received a safety score of 56.3, placing it slightly ahead of neighboring India, which ranked 66th with a score of 55.7.
The index’s top spot was secured by Andorra, boasting a safety score of 84.7. Following closely were the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Taiwan, and Oman, all recognized for their high levels of safety. Notably, several major economies, including the United States (89th) and the United Kingdom (87th), ranked surprisingly low on the list.

At the other end of the spectrum, the countries deemed least safe included Venezuela, Papua New Guinea, Haiti, Afghanistan, and South Africa. This index gives insight to global safety levels, and allows travelers to make informed decisions. It also allows countries to see how they rank compared to other countries.
