Pakistan Leads South Asia in Women’s Mobile Internet Growth
Pakistan has emerged as the regional leader in women’s mobile internet adoption, according to the GSMA Mobile Gender Gap Report 2025. In 2024, 45% of Pakistani women accessed mobile internet, outpacing India (39%) and Bangladesh (26%), while the gender gap narrowed from 38% to 25%.
This surge was largely driven by rural women, with approximately 8 million new female users coming online for the first time in 2024. The trend signals greater digital inclusion, highlighting Pakistan’s progress in bridging the connectivity divide.
