No Visa Required: Saudi Citizens Welcomed to Pakistan Anytime, Says Minister
Mohsin Naqvi Highlights Growing Cooperation with Saudi Arabia on Key Issues
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, during a meeting with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmed Al-Malki, announced that Saudi citizens no longer require a visa to visit Pakistan and are welcome to come at any time. According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting took place at the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad, where Ambassador Al-Malki warmly received the minister.
During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, fostering bilateral relations, and enhancing cooperation. The interior minister expressed gratitude to the Saudi government for its consistent support in Pakistan’s economic and social sectors. He also acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s high-level participation in the Anti-Narcotics Conference held by the Pakistan-Gulf Cooperation Council, highlighting its importance in strengthening regional partnerships.
Minister Naqvi emphasized Pakistan’s intent to collaborate with Saudi Arabia on combating drug trafficking and human smuggling. He also mentioned the implementation of new conditions to prevent illegal immigration and passport misuse, while reiterating that Saudi citizens face no visa requirements for entry into Pakistan.
Additionally, he extended thanks to the Saudi government for their vital support in securing the release and repatriation of an innocent family involved in a drug case, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to assisting Pakistan.
