Miftah Ismail Announces Launch of New Political Party, Awaam Pakistan, with Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as Inaugural Convener
Former PML-N leader Miftah Ismail has revealed plans for his new political venture, Awaam Pakistan (AP), which is set to be unveiled next month. The party’s launch will be led by former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who will be joined by a cadre of prominent figures, including former PML-N members Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi, Javed Abbasi, Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Rana Zahid Tauseef, Zahid Binnouri, and Sardar Anwar Soomro. Additionally, Dr. Zafar Mirza, former health minister, and Sheikh Salahuddin, ex-MQM MNA, are also set to join AP.
The inaugural event is scheduled for July 6 in Islamabad, signaling a significant development in Pakistan’s political landscape, particularly following Abbasi’s recent disagreements with PML-N leadership and the submission of party registration documents in April.
The official launch ceremony for Awaam Pakistan is scheduled to take place in Islamabad on July 6.
