KP Government to Solarize Over 1,000 Madaris to Promote Religious Education

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced plans to install free solar systems in over 1,000 religious madaris across the province, including the merged tribal districts. This initiative, led by Chief Minister KP, aims to enhance accessibility and appeal in religious education. The project will be a joint effort between the Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department and the Energy & Power Department.

In a significant meeting, the officials outlined the solarization efforts under the annual development program, with a focus on conducting a comprehensive survey. The initiative emphasizes collaboration with the Director General Religious Education (DGRE) and equitable distribution across districts. Post-survey, customized solar systems will be provided to each registered madrasa. The project is expected to commence swiftly following the survey and the preparation of necessary documentation.
