JazzCash and Mobilink Microfinance Bank Begin Disbursement of BISP Funds, Empowering 1.3 Million Women Across Pakistan
JazzCash, in collaboration with Mobilink Microfinance Bank, has started disbursing the first tranche of funds for the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), reaching over PKR 1 billion so far. The partnership aims to distribute funds to 1.3 million BISP-registered women beneficiaries across Pakistan. To ensure responsible distribution, special camps have been set up to enhance financial literacy among women, empowering them to use the funds effectively. Additionally, a dedicated complaint management cell has been established to assist beneficiaries in regional languages.

BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid emphasized the collective responsibility in uplifting marginalized communities, highlighting the importance of collaborations in ensuring financial aid reaches those in need. Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz and Chairman of Mobilink Microfinance Bank, expressed pride in partnering with BISP to alleviate poverty, underscoring JazzCash’s commitment to providing financial access to underserved citizens through affordable payment solutions and credit.

The initiative also focuses on facilitating people with disabilities and elderly women by issuing debit cards for easy fund withdrawals. The disbursements cover various districts across Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ensuring that funds reach women in remote areas effectively.
