Pakistan’s Digital Leap: Huawei to Train Thousands in IT Skills

Huawei, in collaboration with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), has unveiled a large-scale IT training initiative aimed at empowering 300,000 Pakistanis with essential digital skills.

Under this program, 60,000 participants will receive advanced IT training, while 240,000 individuals will gain foundational skills. The initiative is set to strengthen Pakistan’s digital infrastructure, enhance IT exports, and create employment opportunities in the tech sector.

Recognizing the importance of equipping youth with modern technical expertise, Huawei, alongside the Higher Education Commission (HEC), will introduce cutting-edge IT courses in 15 universities nationwide. SIFC will play a crucial role in driving investment and fostering the telecom industry’s growth.

Industry experts view this project as a major milestone in Pakistan’s digital transformation.

In a recent meeting led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the government reiterated its commitment to preparing youth for the digital era, emphasizing their role in shaping the country’s technological future.
