Beyond book sales, the Gwadar Book Fair featured literary sessions, book launches, poetry recitals, and cultural performances, adding to the event’s vibrancy. Traditional Balochi music and cultural showcases were also a highlight, drawing in large crowds.

The 2023 Gwadar Book Fair recorded Rs 1.8 million in book sales, making this year’s Rs 2.8 million milestone a significant jump. The event continues to grow as a major literary festival in Pakistan.

Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor of Gwadar University, Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, highlighted the significance of the book festival in cultivating a reading habit among the youth and fostering intellectual growth. He stressed that the success of nations is closely linked to their emphasis on books and education.

The first day of the fair featured a range of activities, including a theatrical performance by Khairjan Art Academy addressing local issues.
