A fire erupted on the sixth floor of the Serena Hotel in Islamabad on Friday afternoon, where foreign players from the Pakistan Super League (PSL X) teams were staying. The incident, which caused thick smoke to rise into the sky, triggered concerns in the high-security zone housing the luxurious hotel known for hosting diplomats and dignitaries.

Investigations Continue as CDA Battles Flames at Iconic Serena Hotel
Officials confirmed that the fire started on the top floor of the hotel. Eight fire trucks from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) were deployed to control the situation. While an initial social media post speculated an attack, authorities clarified that the fire was structural. Guests, including PSL players, and hotel staff were safely evacuated, with no injuries reported. Traffic in the surrounding area was disrupted as precautionary measures were enforced.
