Peshawar Becomes Etihad’s Fourth Gateway to Pakistan in 2025 Growth Strategy

Etihad Airways has announced the launch of a new route connecting Abu Dhabi to Peshawar, Pakistan, beginning 29 September 2025. The airline will initially operate five weekly flights, increasing to daily service from 22 November 2025. This marks Peshawar as Etihad’s fourth gateway to Pakistan, joining Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore, and becoming the airline’s sixteenth new destination in 2025.

Flights will be operated using Airbus A320 family aircraft, offering eight Business Class and 150 Economy seats, with departure from Abu Dhabi at 02:45 and arrival in Peshawar at 06:55, and return flights leaving at 08:50 and arriving back in Abu Dhabi at 11:15. This expansion provides vital connectivity between Pakistan and Etihad’s vast global network across the Gulf, Africa, Europe, and North America.

Etihad Boosts Flights to Karachi and Expands Global Network with New Routes

Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, emphasized the importance of strengthening ties with Pakistan, stating the route reflects Etihad’s commitment to delivering seamless travel experiences and boosting trade, tourism, and cultural exchange. The announcement also includes a frequency boost to Karachi, which will increase to 17 flights weekly from 1 October 2025.

Etihad continues its ambitious 2025 growth strategy with recent launches including Addis Ababa, Atlanta, Prague, Warsaw, and North African cities. Travellers through Abu Dhabi can also take advantage of Etihad’s Stopover Programme, which offers up to two complimentary hotel nights, turning transit into a memorable mini-vacation.
