“I’m Not King Yet,” Says Babar Azam
Karachi: Former Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam has asked fans and media to refrain from calling him “King,” stating that his performance will ultimately determine his legacy. “Stop calling me King,” Azam said informally to journalists after the One Day International between Pakistan and South Africa at the National Stadium Karachi. “I am not a king yet. If I continue with my previous performance, I will not be able to perform further.” He acknowledged the challenges of opening the batting, a new position for him, and expressed his determination to contribute to the team’s victories.
