This extended agreement now includes Austrian Airlines and strengthens existing partnerships with Lufthansa and SWISS International Air Lines (SWISS), unlocking smoother connections, more flight options, and seamless travel experiences across Europe and beyond.

The expanded partnership significantly improves travel between India and Europe, adding nearly 60 new codeshare routes covering 12 Indian and 26 European cities. The total number of codeshare routes between Air India, Lufthansa, and SWISS increases from 55 to nearly 100, while Austrian Airlines introduces 26 new routes.
