Zardari added that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the heirs of Bhutto remain steadfast in their commitment to protect the nation. He recalled moments of personal struggle, including imprisonment, and said he chose to face challenges head-on. He stressed that PPP alone is enough to confront enemies and reminded the audience of the symbolic places where Benazir Bhutto had raised the party’s flag.
The President further stated that Pakistan does not seek conflict with any country, but if anyone threatens its sovereignty, they will be dealt with firmly, just as India was. He expressed confidence in the strength and courage of Pakistan’s military leadership, asserting that they are capable of defending the nation against any aggression.
