Turkish Court Targets Israeli Leadership in Gaza Probe, Seeks International Warrants
In a dramatic legal development, a Turkish court has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and 36 other senior Israeli officials on charges of genocide and crimes against humanity linked to Israel’s military operations in Gaza.

According to a report by TRT World, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that the warrants were issued following an extensive investigation into what it described as Israel’s “systematic” attacks on civilians in Gaza. The suspects include top-ranking figures such as Defense Minister Israel Katz, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, and military commanders.
The prosecutor’s statement emphasized that the arrest warrants stem from documented incidents and testimonies pointing to organized assaults on Gaza’s civilian population. These actions were classified as violations of international law, including genocide and human rights abuses.
As the accused individuals are not currently in Turkey, the prosecution has requested international arrest warrants (red notices) to facilitate their detention and extradition. The move underscores Turkey’s vocal stance on the Gaza conflict and its support for international accountability mechanisms.
