Prime Video, AWS Among Divisions Hit by Amazon’s Workforce Reduction
Amazon has begun large-scale layoffs in India, eliminating approximately 2,000 positions across key departments including Prime Video, AWS, and Human Resources. The job cuts primarily affect mid-to-senior-level employees and are part of the company’s broader global restructuring plan.
This initiative is aligned with Amazon’s strategy to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency. Globally, the company aims to reduce its workforce by around 14,000 roles as it adapts to shifting business priorities and economic conditions.
