Gulistan-e-Jauhar Family Targeted: Saudi Returnee Reports Massive Robbery Haul
A brazen robbery occurred in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 15 area of Karachi, where armed thieves entered a home and held a mother and daughter hostage before making off with a massive haul.
According to Express News, the robbers successfully stole over Rs 3.25 crore (more than 32.5 million rupees) worth of valuables, including gold jewelry, Saudi Riyals, and local cash, before making an easy escape. The affected resident, Waqas, reported that at the time of the robbery, only his wife and daughter were present in the house. The thieves tied up the two women, thoroughly searched the property, and fled with the valuables.
Waqas revealed that his family had recently relocated from Saudi Arabia and that the stolen gold also belonged to his mother and brothers. The local police have since started an investigation into the incident.
