Shailesh Jejurikar Appointed P&G CEO, Succeeding Jon Moeller in 2026
Shailesh Jejurikar, an esteemed alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, is slated to make history as the first Indian CEO of Procter & Gamble Co. (P&G). He will officially take over from current CEO Jon Moeller on January 1, 2026.
Jejurikar, 58, brings a wealth of experience to the role. His educational journey began at Hyderabad Public School, where he was a contemporary of Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. He then pursued his undergraduate studies at Elphinstone College in Mumbai before earning his MBA from IIM Indore. Jejurikar’s career at P&G began in 1989 as an assistant brand manager in India. Over the years, he has held diverse roles across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, specializing in key sectors like Health Care, Fabric Care, and Beauty Care. After a brief period as a board member at Otis Elevator Co., he rejoined P&G in 2019 and ascended to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) in October 2021. His estimated net worth is approximately $8 million (Rs 697,640,000) as of 2025.
Joe Jimenez, P&G’s Lead Director, lauded Jejurikar’s substantial contributions to the company, particularly highlighting his exceptional leadership in both established and emerging markets. Jimenez expressed strong confidence that Jejurikar’s continued leadership will further fortify the robust foundation he has played a crucial role in building at P&G.
