Deadly Shooting Near Nimargh Cross: Security Forces Launch Search Operation
At least three people were killed and seven others injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire on a passenger bus near Nimargh Cross in Kalat district, located in Pakistan’s province of Balochistan.
According to SHO Habib Nechari of Kalat Police, the attack occurred when the bus was passing through the Nimargh Cross area. Emergency responders have shifted the wounded and deceased to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, where an emergency has been declared. The motive behind the attack remains unknown at this stage.
Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind confirmed that security agencies, district administration, and rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately. He added that security forces have cordoned off the area and a search operation is underway to apprehend the attackers.
