Saudi Arabia has introduced the world’s first all-electric passenger aircraft
In a remarkable leap for sustainable aviation, Saudi Arabia has introduced the world’s first all-electric passenger aircraft, offering an affordable and eco-friendly alternative to conventional air travel. The aircraft, developed by Beta Technologies, is named the Alia CX300 and is making headlines for its efficiency and low operating costs.

Recently, the Alia CX300 completed a successful 35-minute passenger flight from East Hampton to New York’s JFK Airport in the United States. Covering the route at a cost of just 30 Saudi Riyals (approximately $8) for a distance of 130 kilometers, the flight marked a major milestone in electric aviation. In comparison, a similar journey by helicopter would cost over 600 Saudi Riyals ($160), making the electric option significantly more affordable for both passengers and operators.
