Preparations for Shandur Polo Festival 2025 Finalized in Joint Meeting of Chitral and GB Authorities
A joint meeting of the Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan administrations was held at the Shandur Polo Ground to finalize preparations for the highly anticipated Shandur Polo Festival 2025. The session was chaired by Commandant Chitral Scouts, Colonel Bilal Javed.

The meeting was attended by key officials including the GM of Tourism Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Deputy Commissioner Upper Chitral, Additional Deputy Commissioner Lower Chitral, Deputy Commissioner Ghizer, DPO Ghizer, Lieutenant Colonel FCNA, Sector Command Officer GB Scouts, Wing Commander 144 Wing, Assistant Commissioner Mastuj, DPO Upper Chitral, and presidents of the Polo Associations from both Chitral and GB.
It was unanimously decided to maintain strong coordination between the administrations of both regions to ensure the successful organization of the festival and to provide the best possible facilities for tourists and polo enthusiasts. As per tradition, the grand event will take place from June 20 to 22, featuring thrilling matches between the polo teams of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral at the world’s highest polo ground.
