Circadian AI: Teen Innovator’s App Achieves 96% Accuracy in Heart Problem Diagnosis
A 14-year-old student from Frisco, Texas, Siddarth Nandyala, has made headlines by developing a groundbreaking mobile app called Circadian AI that can diagnose heart diseases in just seven seconds. Using artificial intelligence and machine learning, the app analyzes heart sounds to detect over 40 types of cardiovascular diseases. Siddarth explained that users simply need to place a phone near the heart, record for seven seconds, and receive a quick, detailed diagnosis of potential abnormalities.

Circadian AI has undergone extensive clinical trials, screening more than 18,500 patients in both the United States and India. In tests conducted at government hospitals in Andhra Pradesh, India, the app demonstrated over 96% accuracy. At Guntur Government General Hospital alone, the app screened hundreds of people and successfully identified several cases of heart problems, offering hope for faster, more accessible heart disease screening in underserved communities.
Young Prodigy Siddarth Nandyala Aims to Revolutionize Global Healthcare with AI
Medical experts have praised Siddarth’s innovation, including Dr. Jameel Ahmed from Louisiana State University, who emphasized the importance of early, accessible diagnosis in reducing long-term heart disease risks. While Circadian AI is designed to be simple and fast, it’s currently intended for use by trained healthcare workers in clinical settings and is meant to complement, not replace, advanced tests like electrocardiograms (ECGs).
Encouraged by the success of his app, Siddarth is already working on applying similar AI technology to detect lung diseases such as pneumonia and pulmonary embolism by analyzing breathing sounds. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also lauded Siddarth’s efforts, calling him an inspiration. Siddarth remains committed to making advanced, life-saving diagnostic tools affordable and accessible for rural and underprivileged areas around the world, aiming to reduce the global toll of heart disease.
