High-Speed Winds Wreak Havoc Across Punjab, Causing Major Damage
A powerful storm swept across Islamabad and Punjab on Saturday afternoon, with wind speeds exceeding 90 km/h in some areas. The intense weather led to significant human and financial losses.
At least eight people lost their lives, while more than 50 sustained injuries. The storm caused extensive damage to infrastructure, toppling solar panels and walls, wrecking vehicles, and knocking down electricity poles and transformers. Rescue and recovery efforts are underway, as authorities work to restore normalcy to the affected regions.
