Bangladesh Becomes First in Region to Get Starlink Before India and Pakistan
Starlink Launches in Bangladesh, Bringing High-Speed Internet to Underserved Areas

SpaceX’s satellite internet service, Starlink, officially launched in Bangladesh on May 20, 2025, delivering high-speed, low-latency internet with speeds up to 300 Mbps and unlimited data.
The service offers two residential packages, priced at Tk4,200 and Tk6,000 per month, with a one-time installation fee of Tk47,000. It primarily targets rural and underserved communities, benefiting freelancers, NGOs, entrepreneurs, and businesses lacking reliable broadband access.
With this launch, Bangladesh has become the first country in the region to receive Starlink, ahead of India and Pakistan, where regulatory hurdles have delayed the service rollout. The move is expected to enhance digital connectivity and expand internet access across remote areas.
