Floods and Storms Cause Widespread Damage Across KP Amid Severe Weather Alerts
Islamabad witnessed intense rainfall and hailstorms, resulting in significant damage across various areas. Large-sized hailstones shattered the windows of several vehicles, causing concern among residents. The adverse weather forced Peshawar Zalmi to end their practice session early, as stormy winds uprooted trees and led to disruptions.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department issued a drought alert, reporting a 62% deficit in rainfall across the country this season. Severe storms and hailstorms also struck regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Khyber, Bajaur, Mardan, Malakand, Lower Dir, and Mansehra, where daytime skies turned dark due to heavy rainfall.
In Khyber district, flash floods swept away a car and caused extensive damage to orchards and crops. Power supply was also disrupted in several areas, compounding the challenges faced by residents.
