Kerala’s labour minister, V Sivankutty, has directed the district labour officer to investigate the matter and submit an immediate report. In the visuals, a person can be seen using a leash to compel another to crawl on the floor, while employees claimed that they endured degrading punishments when they failed to meet targets.

The incident reportedly occurred at a firm in Perumbavoor, which markets and sells products for an associated business in Kaloor. While the firm owner has denied any link between the video and his company, police officials confirmed that no complaints have been filed so far, and investigations are underway.

Labour Minister Demands Action Against Kerala Firm Over Workplace Abuse

The State Human Rights Commission and Kerala State Youth Commission have registered separate cases against the alleged harassment. Both bodies have demanded strict legal action and reports from the police. M Shajar, the chairman of the Kerala State Youth Commission, condemned the incident, calling for society to unite against such anti-social practices.
